Here's what some of my clients have said about their results...
I initially questioned whether telephone coaching was an efficient method of helping someone. I see now that it does work.
"Working with Marlo has been a positive and beneficial experience for me. She really took the time to understand what was going on my life and my circumstances in order to best coach me. She offered so many creative suggestions and simple solutions to the organizational problem areas in my life. She helped me to see what was most important to me and helped me to prioritize tasks. Now the individual tasks I have to do each day don't take as long, and I can find things much more easily. It is nice to just be listened to about things that are important to you.
Before working with Marlo, my life/schedule had been feeling a little out of control. I had thought that the systems I had in place were working pretty well for me, but i had noticed that some things, such as my filing system, my daily and ongoing to-do lists, and my method for handling priorities, had become outdated, or were inefficient. I was having more trouble keeping up with the daily mail, and starting to feel behind, like I could not keep up with daily tasks any more. I felt tired and did not know how to catch up on these things. The urgent and demanding took the place of the important.
Marlo helped me to think through each specific problem, how I handled it, and how I could handle it better in the future. She made suggestions and offered solutions that might work for me and followed up with those things. She emailed me with things that I had requested, and gave me assignments for our next meeting. I liked having the accountability and manageable, concrete things to do, and also being able to see progress where I hadn't seen it before.
Whether you are naturally a very organized person as I am, or whether you are not organized at all, Marlo will meet you where you are and help you to think through the best solutions for you in your current situation. When you think about it, your life is constantly changing, so your systems and ways of doing things must keep up and change along with it. If you are not sure if coaching will benefit you, I encourage you to give it a try. After one session, you will realize how much progress you will make in a short time.
I initially questioned whether telephone coaching was an efficient method of helping someone. I see now that it does work. If you enjoy Marlo's newsletter and pick up great tidbits from it, imagine how much more you will gain from an individual coaching session designed specifically for you."

I feel like we are working through things on a deeper, more holistic and sustainable level now.
I feel as though I am getting a different level of support and help from our sessions only after two months. I feel like we are working through things on a deeper, more holistic and sustainable level now (as opposed to just "HELP! SURVIVAL ORGANIZATION!"), but I am getting real long term gain and excellent ideas for my daily operations from our sessions together.

Marlo is a great organizing coach for many reasons.
"Marlo's positive attitude, relaxed approach and friendly nature made her a pleasure to work with.
By recognizing each person’s unique style and individual workspace needs, she adapted plans to suit my visual organizational process. Marlo also understood my tendency to archive and document everything, then taught me to filter items and make better decisions about what to keep.
A rule that has helped greatly is “to put things where I can find them, not just where they fit”. Her suggestions to make and use a road map and a spider map are now essential tools to help organize.
We worked together as a team, which was very encouraging. I have been able to reduce clutter and free up valuable workspace. It’s still a work in progress, but a much better and improving environment now.
Marlo brings a wealth of knowledge and resources to assist in problem solving. She always has more ideas to get and to stay organized. Her email and internet updates were always useful and fun reminders that keep me on track."

After ONE session with Marlo, I could see progress in my attitude!
"With piles of receipts, training materials and business cards strewn about, walking into my office created so much frustration, I used to avoid it. That is not a good thing when you're responsible for two successful home-based businesses. I knew the value of being organized, but I would much rather meet with clients face-to-face.
After one session with Marlo, I could see progress in my attitude toward structure and systems that she suggested. It was amazing how she listened to my assessment of my tasks, asked a few questions and in a nutshell, gave suggestions on my desk and office arrangement that I had never thought of.
Rather than tie me down, the systems give me freedom to find the material I'm looking for so I can enjoy my "people time." She taught me skills to determine if the items were valuable to keep and gave me "permission" to throw many things away.
In the past two weeks, 8 trashcans of paper have been tossed from my office, and literally, a vanload of clothing and household items were given to charity. I feel more focused and less befuddled.
Thanks Marlo, for being patient with me and helping me to realize someone like me can have a (more) organized office!"

I realized that I didn't need a housekeeper as much as I needed to get organized.
"I simply couldn't have done it without Marlo. "This house is a mess", I would think to myself nearly everyday. "I need a housekeeper." Oh, I would have housekeepers come and go through the years, and they vacuumed and dusted and mopped, but this house was still a mess. As I read Marlo's articles, I realized that I didn't need a housekeeper as much as I needed to get organized.
My main problem was papers here, there, and everywhere. In just one day after our first phone call, my husband was amazed because he could see the top of my dresser. Marlo helped me with a filing system, and file-on-the-go notebook. Then we set up a mail center because mail was getting put in any room of the house and bills were late simply because I didn't know I had them. I am really proud of my mail center which is set up with a place for incoming mail, sorted mail, and mail to send out.
As a result of this, I cleaned out a drawer underneath my mail center to hold pens, envelops, stamps, address labels, and other office supplies with my checkbook hidden in a place close by so that I can take care of bills as soon as they come in. (A little secret: we have lived in our home for 26 years and when I started cleaning out that drawer, I found that it had the first shelf paper in it that I had put down.)
When we got through with my paper problems, the next project that I wanted to attack was my craft room. It had started out as a room for my computer, quiet place to work on my scrapbooks, plus a futon for company. It ended up as the place to throw anything and everything. The closet where I wanted to store all my supplies was a nightmare. I was overwhelmed when I just thought of this room. Marlo helped me focus on just one part of it at a time. Now, that closet is now my pride and joy.
I realize now that I may still need an occasional housekeeper, but what I need first is my Organizer.
Now days, I just walk by my craft room and smile. Many thanks to Marlo; I couldn't have done it with her."
